Nice lens
This telephoto lens works well with our DSC-W1. It MUST be used with the VAD-WA conversion adapter. The lens and adapter are both screw mount and can be left attached together. That way you only need to screw the lens "assembly" directly to the camera. No fuss.

When you go full wide angle with the telephoto attached, there will be some corner darkening, but this can be fixed by zooming out a little.

Pictures at full zoom are sharp. We are very happy with it.

Good product to have
Well I enjoyed having this product and it was a great help for an outdoor trip I took. I was only disappointed when I could not zoom in very far away object though but nevertheless it was and still is a good product. If you want it do not hesitate to get one for yourself.
