Start with This --- You Won't Be Led Astray
With many books on summoning spirits available today, which you can trust to be "real stuff"? This one! This book is a scholarly look of the topic and careful examination of the stuff that are now in well-known museums such as the British Museum.
After reading this, I am more confident of telling which books out there are inaccurate or instances where stuff are just added to make those rubbish books sell better.
If you are interested in getting a glimpse of how summoning spirits was done in medieval times, this book is a must-read.
Good Overview of Real Magic Stuff
With countless imaginative, nonsensical magical texts out there and new-age crap, where should one start to search for real serious stuff? This book is it. The research done is admirable and the stuff mentioned were really in use. Gives one a true view of what grimoires are and how they were used.
This is a very good book to start for anyone looking for real stuff.
Excellent Book
This is a fantastic book especially if you are looking from a historical perspecive. The book is very intellegently written, and it is very apparent the author spent a great deal of time researching the work. This is not just another rehash as so many other books are. Highly reccommended for any magicians library.
