The Tarot of the Witches is based on a series of oil paintings by the Scottish artist Fergus Hall. The images are dreamlike with a surreal quality. The human figures often have large arms and shoulders, but undersized legs. Both sexes have long, black stranded hair. Animal "familiars" can be seen repeatedly, including a striped cat and black bird. The colors are bold and vivid with swords = red, cups = blue, coins = green and batons = brown. The Tarot of the Witches is the tarot deck used by Solitaire in the James Bond movie Live and Let Die. The complete Tarot deck consist of 78 cards that are divided into two sections: 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana. The Major Arcana represents the cycle of physical and spiritual forces that we encounter on our journeys through life, birth, strength, love, relegion, death and re-birth. The minor arcana are believed to be de the forerunner to the contemporary deck of playing cards, consisting in four suits, Each of the four suits contains four court cards and ten pip cards numbered one (Ace) through ten. The four court cards in each suit are named King, Queen, Knight and Page. The minor arcana generally represent occupations, social positions, and status.

Good
I bought these cards for a young friend of the family along with the book of the same name. The pictures are nice.

Witches Deck
Its a nice deck but not for beginners. You need to keep looking through the book to read the cards unless you have alot of time to spend memorizing them all.

Not just the "007" tarot
These tarot cards should really be known as the Fergus Hall deck.

Many people are familiar with this deck due to its use in the James Bond movie, "Live and Let Die". But it is far more than that.

Abandoning all efforts to reproduce the Rider Waite Tarot, Hall has created a deck with some of the most surreal, yet highly mystical art ever seen on Tarot cards.

Those who are familiar with Tarot cards know that many different interpretations of cards are possible by seeing the imagery on the cards. Hall's imagery isn't for everyone, but I believe the art really draws you into readings in a whole new way.

I have also found this deck invaluable for dream interpretation.

The minor arcana return to the old "pip" system.
