"Dandelion is a marvelous story of the triumph of spirit." -- Dr. Wayne Dyer

Absolutely Magical! 5
This is a wonderful book. And rather than reinvent the wheel, I'm going to include here a note that I e-mailed to the author, Sheelagh Mawe:

Dear Ms. Mawe: Well, before my eyes dry (no danger of that, actually), I think I'll write a note of thanks and appreciation to you. And I'll say what you've probably heard over and over again (certainly many times, judging from "Dandelion's" back cover): with these words you have reached down deep inside me and put your finger on feelings and dreams I've had as long as I can remember. I finished "Dandelion" today, reading the last thirty-five pages with pretty much constantly streaming tears. Huh! Imagine that. Where is all that feeling coming from? It's the experience of feeling deeply understood, of me understanding myself, and of seeing myself in the pages of a book. After forty-one years of a life that eerily parallels Dandelion's, I'm several months into my version of Dandelion's time with Timothy...so to see how the story continues and then ends brings forth feelings of joy, triumph, happiness and gratitude. Plus it brings forth a determination to continue working at thinking only those thoughts that I want to manifest, and to continue faithfully revisiting the vision that I know was set forth by me sometime before my birth, somewhere. It's a vision of the extraordinary, of fulfillment, of completion, of a misfit finally more than fitting in. Thank you again for writing "Dandelion."

I'll add that I've been reading books in an effort to fix myself for over twenty years (that's half my life). I suppose they've all helped in some way, but the material in "Dandelion" (it's more than a wonderful story) really works.

Universal5
In my opinion this book is something every child should read, and every child who didn't read it as a child should read it as soon as possible. Horse enthusiasts will love the simple but captivating story, and I think young and old "girls" may benefit the most, due to the way our society seems to limit their value sometimes based on the physical aspect only, but I wouldn't necessarily limit it to females. Aspects of adventure, spirituality, self esteem and inspiration for getting excited about life in general all wrapped up in a beautifully told tale that is fun in the telling and touches your soul.

Empowering, Lovely & Fulfilling 5
I recently read "Dandelion", by Sheelagh Mawe. It was a wonderfully fulfilling read in character driven form. It's a story that all ages can learn from, (It is never too late to be what you might have been, George Eliot). Delightful and empowering and if you find this book enlightening and you haven't already listened to "Infinite Possiblities, The Art of Living Your Dreams by Mike Dooley, don't hesitate another moment.
