Customer Reviews
Easy and handy math for pilots
Pilot's rules of thumb, is a collection of aviation formulas explained in plain english.
It's easy to read and understand.
For example: "Abort the takeoff if 70% of takeoff speed is not reached within 50% of the available runway."
It's pocket size format is easy to consult while flying and does not take any space on your flight bag.
A must have for every flight bag.
Handy Reference
I can only review from a Student Pilot point of view. This guide has all the common calculations in it. Great, small, handy reference and well organized.
Flys where I Fly
This and the Pilot's Pocket Handbook stay in my flight bag. Can you figure headwind and crosswind components in your head? This books shows you how to do it to the first decimal place, along with a ton of other need to know (save your behind) and cool to know "rules of thumb." Great gift for pilots at all stages of general aviation.
