Buy used from: $0.01 This is a very useful, well written, and complete college handbook. One could teach an entire composition course with no other text. This book remains one of the most useful writer's references that I have used for my own academic, music, and fiction writing and remains on my desk, though our college requires us to use the Bedford Handbook these days. Buy used from: $0.01 I've used it since 2000. It suffers the usual problems of such readers, but a professor who know what he wants to teach and how to teach it, regardless of the book, can find this textbook very useful.
