excellent quality monitor for the money, but don't use vga/analog connection.

To the people who complain about ghosting and font display issues, please try connecting the monitor via the provided DVI cable (white ends) instead of the VGA cable. DVI is a digital connection and will ALWAYS provide you better/crisper picture quality.

I did see some ghosting/smearing when using VGA (always expected on LCD monitors especially at high resolutions) but they immediately go away with DVI.

Works Great
Monitor was quick and easy to set up. Using 1680x1050 and it looks great. I looked at a lot of different monitors and this was the best deal for a 22 inch monitor I could find. Also like the P221W as it does not include speakers. Have had good luck with all of Acer products and this one is super. I would recommend the P221W to family and friends.

Text not sharp enough
When I buy a 1680x1050 resolution monitor, I understand text will be displayed smaller than the more commonly used resolutions. Of course, I expect it to be finer as well. This text was not fine enough to justify the purchase, thus I had to request a return. If you must get this monitor, I'd recommend increasing font size or using a smaller resolution (which defeats the purpose of a 1680x1050 resolution!). I haven't sampled text quality on many 1680x1050 22 inch monitors, but I expect it gets quite better. I'm still shopping for a better buy.
