Luxurious locks hairstyling techniques using twists/folding
I think the photography is beautiful. it takes the mystery out of twisting hair, using bobby pins and clips. criss crissing hair is easy with this book. the straight hair styles are not complex at all. if you ever wish to discuss long hair with me personally, use yahoo messenger. Very cool
If you want to impress someone or have a big event - this is the book for you! Patrick has some very interesting styles! These are not every day hair styles though! I must admit they are different and will impress! I like his big picture too.

Not for really long hair
The photos are beautiful, the directions clear, the designs classic but refreshing. However, not one model has hair below her shoulder blades. Most have bra length hair, and one has hair only to the tops of her shoulders. Though good for ideas, you will have to do significant design adaptation if you have truly long hair or very thick hair. If you have both very long and very thick hair, this book will be of limited use to you. Additionally, almost all designs call for back-combing, and many for flat ironing, hot iron curling, and hair spraying. If you are as careful about your long hair as I am about mine, you will be loathe to subject it to these elements. If you are content with medium-length hair that you will only occasionally subject to these elements, then this book is a 5 star. But if you have really long hair and you treasure it, this book is no more than 3 stars because the author completely missed the design and styling concerns of that demographic.
