| Preston C. Enright says: "Well, maybe we could keep some elements of an intelligence agency to do things like combat global environmental terrorists like Exxon, Newmont mining and Kerr McGhee. There are also agents like Ray McGovern and Michael Scheuer who have done useful analysis of weapons programs, they should also be analyzing and exposing the WMD developments of the USA. But, as former agents like Phillip Agee and John Stockwell have shown, the CIA is largely an organization over which the American people should feel shame. We should take the majority of the billions of dollars we currently put into the CIA (and other agencies like the FBI, DIA, DEA, NSA, DOD, etc.) and put our tax dollars into the Department of Peace that Representative Dennis Kucinich is proposing." | ||
