Like any standard diagnostic code reader, the Equus 3110 can decode diagnostic trouble codes for OBDII (post-1996) vehicles. To that functionality the 3110 adds emissions system testing, an English, French, or Spanish display, and the ability to store and display freeze frame (but not live) diagnostic data. It also comes with Windows software, is flash upgradeable, and comes with a storage pouch.

The Actron CP9145 is the older brother to the CP9180 above and offers virtually identical functionality--including the ability to display, record, and playback live data and perform emissions testing. However, it does not print data, and does not have oxygen sensor testing capability. It is also English-language only. However, with the purchase of additional cables, it can work with OBDI vehicles.

The Equus 3130 provides all of the functionality of the 3110, but can also record and view live data as well as freeze frame data. Unlike its 3120 sibling, however, the 3130 does not work with OBDI vehicles.

The Actron CP9150 is actually a kit that includes the CP9145, OBDI cables for use with '84-'95 GM & Ford and '89-'95 Chrysler vehicles, and a hard-blown technican’s case. As a result, the CP9150 has all of the functionality of the CP9145, including the ability to display, record, and play back live diagnostic data, but adds the ability to interface with older vehicles.

The Actron CP9190 is the flagship of the line, combining every feature of the other Actron scanners (such as oxygen sensor testing, emissions system testing, OBDI coverage, and the ability to display, record, play back, and print live diagnostic data) along with a backlit trilingual display and the ability to graph its data.
