Why Does Chlorine-Free Matter?
Your choice of our chlorine free diapers could help reduce cancer rates. Your choice of chlorine-free diapers helps reduce the amount of dioxin polluting our air, water and soil, and helps make the world a safer, healthier place for your family and generations to come.
When chlorine and chlorine derivatives are used in industrial processes (such as bleaching paper and wood pulp), they produce substances called chlorinated hydrocarbons, which persist in the environment, accumulate in animals and people, and can be toxic to human and environmental health. The production of chlorine can also release the toxic metal mercury into the environment.
If every household in the U.S. replaced just one 40-count package of conventional diapers with these chlorine-free diapers, we could avoid 133,000 pounds of pollution from entering the environment.

Great training pants
We got the left over Pull-Ups from my sister-in-law's daughter and I tried using them on my daughter but she complained about them hurting her all the time. The Pull-Ups gave my daughter rashes on her sides and apparently her cousin had the same problems before. The Seventh Generation training pants are great. My daughter loves them and never complain when I put them on her. The only thing I'd wish they do differently is to have the sides removable so on those occassions when my daughter pooped in them, it's easier to remove. But then maybe the velcro part is what causes the irratations. Anyway, with the Seventh Generation training pants I just ripe the sides out instead of taking them off like panties when she does the number 2 thing. It works for me and my daughter just fine.
A Comparable Alternative
My daughter is 2 1/2 and only used a pull-up/trainer pant at night. Usually she awoke dry, so I couldn't honestly say whether or not they leak as a general rule. She had wet a few times at night and her pajamas were typically dry in the morning. We have had probably 2 mornings with wet pajamas.
Her skin has not reacted negatively so the lack of chlorination agrees with her. As for the size-she's about 37 inches tall and just under 30 pounds (on the skinny side) and I think that these seem to run a bit small. The 3T-4T size fits her perfectly (you would think they should be too big).
Recently we stopped using a disposable at night. The rare wet morning is worth the money saved for us and the space saved in the landfill. These are not biodegradable or compostable. They are, however, a perfectly comparable alternative to diaper rash and dioxins.
A Great Product
We really like the seventh generation diapers and training pants. My husband and I tried cloth diapers when our son was born, but his little bum couldn't handle them. We switched to seventh generation when he was 9 months old and I am happy to say our little one has NEVER had a diaper rash with the seventh generation. We recently started using the training pants and they are great! They are easy to get on and off and we feel good about him wearing them because they don't contain chlorine and they are environmentally friendly.
