This smells great and even sort of works. It would calm me down at least when smoo was overtired and I was cranky.

I like a sling for the first year or so. My favorite is the over the shoulder baby holder, it has padding which makes it more comfortable for baby and mama/papa. But I also have this one, which is easier to adjust than the padded slings.

Can I just write a little ode for a second to everything baby bjorn makes? This potty is great. Very easy for even kids to empty. Smoo loved his.

If you don't have a lot of storage space, go with something simple like this. I have one of these now so I can bathe both kids at the same time -- if I had a big plastic one they wouldn't both fit in the tub. I am pretty much as happy using this as I was using the primo monstrosity.

Weird that amazon doesn't sell fuzzibunz, those are the ones we preferred. They are exactly like these but have snaps. The happy heiny's (HH's) are great too though. These cloth dipes are pricey but they are so cute, so trim, and so easy to use (and get cleaner than an all in one).

These are the other newborn to large one size pocket dipes. I haven't tried them but hear very good things about them!

I had the organic cotton version of this, which was downright luxorious. I loved putting it on my baby. I'm not sure that these, which are polyester, would be as nice but I'm sure they would work well. I like that they have a thick velcro strip at the top so you have more flexibility in terms of fit. That's a unique feature.

Kimono type shirts are great for teeny tiny babies because you don't have to pull them over their wobbly little heads. When you do that they get all excited and start screaming and you get afraid that their heads are going to pop off, and if they were sleepy you are going to completely wake them up.Loo lived in these for the first 3 months. Under the Nile makes some great ones too.

Bouncers are great places to put babies down, so you aren't tempted to leave them somewhere they will fall and bonk their heads. We have the older (aquarium) bouncer like this one. It's good.

Always good to have around the house. Ibuprofen lasts a full 6-8 hours whereas tylenol lasts more like 4. Which clearly comes in handy when baby has a fever or is teething at night.

meh. these are both good for cuddling/feeding.

Sleep is such a hot button topic, but personally I could never stomach cry it out. This book teaches you how to teach your baby to sleep humanely without developing habits you will be unhappy with down the line, I think it's a super happy medium.

I don't know about you, but these always make me sleepy. White noise is a big part of the lull a baby philosophy. It simulates womb sounds in the first few months and helps filter out sounds that would wake baby up when she gets older.

Not exactly a baby item, but a beautiful, readable, surpisingly useful book (for all areas of your life, not just parenting). I can't recommend it highly enough.
