Amazon.com Product Reviews

Fisher-Price has managed to combine the cozy comfort of their Papasan infant seats with the functionality of a cradle swing. Strap baby into the swing with the padded three point harness. The two reclining positions allow for playtime or naptime. When it's time for play, clip on the snack tray with bead bars and play eight different happy tunes while the star mobile bobs up and down and around. When it's time for rest, remove the snack tray and start the swinging. The soothing six-speed cradle swing will rock in the traditional fashion from left to right, or spin the cradle 90 degrees and it will rock front to back. Eight new lullabies will play and the cradle projects a spinning star-scape onto the canopy to have baby minutes from slumber. The nicest feature is that it allows for any iteration of motion, music, and mobile movement. It can be plugged in or run on four D batteries (it is recommended using AC power). The seat pad is removable and machine-washable, and the recommended age is birth and up with a maximum of 25 pounds. --Scott Teal

Great for pacifying baby4
I bought this swing after a particularly trying day with my 5 week old, willing to try anything that may give me a moments rest. The swing has turned out to be great. While not a 'magic pill' for fussiness, the swing keeps my now 2 month old entertained and often lulls him to sleep. He loves the sounds and the motion around the mirror and we like that is swings side to side as well as front to back. I wish it plugged into the wall so we could save on batteries, but other than that....this is a great swing.

Great swing.... until it stopped working forever....2
A friend gave me this swing, and it worked fine until today. The swing just stopped swinging. Everything else works fine, and I've recharged the batteries completely, so I know it's not that. The mobile still spins, and all the music still plays perfectly, it just doesn't swing.... I even opened it up to see if something was loose, but after doing some research online I've noticed people are buying replacement parts for $53, which isn't worth it for me to fix... I'm guessing this swing worked for about 6 months total, so if you're planning on using it for multiple children, or buying used, don't waste your time with this one!!

A Nap Saver!4
Now I KNOW you're not "supposed" to let your baby nap exclusively in a swing or whatnot, but my 3 and 1/2 wk son will NOT sleep in a bassinet during the day. He would wake up after 20 minutes, crying, and mom would have to hold and rock him and bounce and sing and talk to him for the next few HOURS before he would nap for another 20 minutes again.

I just got this swing yesterday (actually didn't get it from Amazon, got a used one off craigslist) and my notoriously non-napping son (was once up for 7 and 1/2 hours!) is currently in his swing, NAPPING... for just more than an hour and a half now. He fussed for about 3-5 minutes then fell right asleep.

My only "complaint" is mine doesn't plug in, so I have to be at the mercy of the four D batteries. Better stock up now...
