good read
This was a pretty good book to read with a good plot line that was not all about the sex. It was pretty close to being realistic as far as how people see interracial relationships in today's society.
A Night to Remember- A Joyfully Recommended Title
It is the one-year anniversary of her husband's death. Charlie Brown is at a downtown bar drowning her sorrows, hoping against all hope that her pain will go away; at least for one night. Many whiskeys later, the bartender advises her to get a room at the hotel next door. Charlie is a bit too tipsy to argue with him and decides that a hotel room sounds more appealing than going home to her empty home.
Jake Fox is tired of whining and dining prospective clients and is ready to go home. Jake decides to stick around the restaurant for one more drink after his clients leave and he can't help but look once again at the beautiful woman across the bar. She seems to be very sad and Jake almost goes over to her but figures that she might not relish the company. Plus, he needs to go back to his hotel and sleep since he has booked an early flight home.
Lady luck seems to be on Jake's side because when he walks into his hotel's lobby, the same gorgeous woman is trying to get a room and is being turned away. Hearing this, Jake nonchalantly offers her the use of the other bed in his hotel room. Surprisingly, she accepts. Exchanging names, she and Jake head to his room. It's while crying her heart out that Charlie wakes Jake up who in turn comforts her in a most erotic and romantic fashion.
The next morning, Charlie can't believe what she has done. While Jake is in the shower, she slips out of his life as fast as she snuck in. However, this time she takes a little something of Jake along with her.
Jake searches for Charlie but to no avail. For three years he remembers his night with Charlie Brown; he can't make himself forget. Imagine his surprise when his employee turns out to be Ms. Charlie Brown and Ms. Brown evidently has a secret that she has kept for three years.
A Night To Remember by Eve Vaughn packs an emotional punch. Totally in tune with Charlie's heartache and sadness, I cried right along with her at times. In fact, I despaired of her ever finding any happiness and I have to say that I was ecstatic that Jake was a bit more stubborn than she. Jake Fox. Sinfully handsome and sex personified. I found him a most worthy man; especially when he found out Charlie's secret. I fell in love with him but alas, he only had eyes and love for Charlie.
A Night To Remember is the first book I've ever read written by Eve Vaughn. It is because of this, that I'll read any and everything this talented author writes. It grabs you from the first word and doesn't let up. I adore this book and think that other readers will as well. An added plus is the fact that it has been revamped from the original version for its new release at Samhain. It is just a winner all the way around so much that I can't help but joyfully recommend it!

Hot and Sizzling
Loved this book. Apart from the fact that it had hot, sizzling sex, it as a good story and was very well told. I love Charlie and Jake and how the entire story went down. Charlie was wrong for not letting Jake know about his daughter, even after they found each other again; she had ample time to tell him but did not.
All in all, I loved the book. Another good write by Ms. Vaughn.
