- Family/Kid Books, Great Read-alouds and More!
Aside from the books here that are just plain fun (like kid cookbooks, etc), many of these are excellent books for story time together on the couch. I try to read-aloud to the kids every night, but in the interest of true confessions, this "trying" translates into an actual 3-4 nights a week. Here is a list of books that have proven true winners. If books for younger kids, that means these are ones that held the littles attention, books they requested to be read over and over again--AND books that didn't drive me batty reading them over and over again. That's important. If books for the older set, that means it was fairly easy to hold and keep everyone's attention with the tale. And when you have five kids, that's sayin' something!
