Seventh in the series. Players assume the identity of teenage super-sleuth Nancy Drew as she rushes to help a friend tormented by a pack of phantom hounds. Players must pick up the cold trail left by a sinister character from long ago in this intriguing 3-D interactive mystery as they solve cryptic puzzles, search through shadowy woods and creepy old houses, interview a cast of suspicious characters, and dodge danger to sniff out the truth behind local legends. Players can get in-game assistance by phoning Nancy's friends Ned, Bess and George, as well as Nancy's longtime sleuthing partners, The Hardy Boys. Locals say the ghostly pack are risen from the grave to protect the secrets of their master, Mike Malone, who lies buried next to his beloved dogs. Long dead, Malone, a notorious gangster, once lived in the lakeside cabin recently purchased by Nancy's friend. Fun for mother and daughter
I'm a member of a game site online, and had been very interested in trying out one of the Nancy Drew games. My 6 yr old daughter was sitting with me when I checked out the reviews, and she said we should download this one.

As this was my first time playing any such game, I played the Junior Detective version. It was fun! It was not as difficult as I thought it would be, although some parts did have me stumped- I had to do a search online for hints/tips to help me out. LOL I like that if you mess up (as in, get fired or killed), you can get a second chance and don't have to start over from the beginning. I love the graphics, and the plot wasn't too involved or scary (for me or for my 6 yr old). I played through once by myself, and then my daughter and I played through together. She really enjoyed it, and it certainly has me wanting to buy more games!

One of Her-Interactive's best!
I LOVE this game! The plot is intriguing, the gameplay submersive and interesting, the characters are unique, the music is great, and the setting is wonderful as well! :) (And just so you know, I AM a critiquer, so I would tell you if I disliked something ;)) I also love the history about the Maya thrown in there--GREAT game! I would highly recommend this, I believe it is one of Her-Interactive's best! :)
