Black Mirror Review
This computer game starring Samuel Gordon was definitely worth my money. I picked it up on a whim, as I was looking for a new game to play. I always enjoy point and clicker mystery games, (such as Nancy Drew and Agatha Christie), and this did not disappoint.
The graphics are wonderful, and the music and effects really add to the atmosphere. It really felt like it was raining in real life when it was in the game! I thoroughly enjoyed that there were many locations to go to, and different tasks at each one.
The only bad things that I can think of for the game are that I wish you could have zoomed in to see other characters or surroundings (the game is in 3rd person), it seemed like i was far away many times. The option to zoom would have been perfect for some of the situations. Unfortunately, there is some backtracking/waiting around involved, but I felt that sometimes that added to the suspense. I was eager for the next mission.
All around, I would recommend this game to mystery fans and those who enjoy a bit of horror. I got spooked once or twice when something jumped out, I'll admit! Great gameplay, good story-line, and a fun game!
Entertaining enough, but disappointing after all that work.
My daughter and I like to do these sorts of games together. We worked on it for a few days, and the game is lovely. Movement, music, interaction. But when we solved the last puzzle, questioned the last character and made it to the end, we were both sorely disappointed. What a lousy ending, in our opinion. So, in our estimation, this game is just okay.
