along with Cyan's Myst this was one of the first PC games to be made for CD-rom and is, in contrast to Myst, better designed and executed. there are more animations, more music and more FMV, which were incorpated into 3D rendered backrounds amd even fullscreen.

despite the lack of new puzzle games this game stands out because of it great story, which is told using cell animation, implanted over 3D rendered backround.

the interactive parts of this game are a big disapointed; but with that aside this game is a true treasure for fans of H2G2.

if you're planning on playing the Myst series i would actually reccomend playing realMyst instead of the original or the masterpiece edition.

you can't really go wrong with a Myst game.
