I have to admit after finally getting around to reading it after hearing what a great book it was, I was ultimately let down. Maybe I had it over-hyped in my head.

Great to see Jack McEvoy again after The Poet, and I did enjoy the book, but I didn't care for how the whole plot was solved (I can't really explain more without spoilers).

I was disappointed with the non-ending, but it does set up book two of the trilogy well.

Another good Kenzie/Gennaro novel, with this one being the second of the series.

This is actually a pretty funny book.

I actually put this book down halfway through because it lost my interest, but I eventually started up again. There is just too many paragraphs where absolutely nothing happens, so while there is an unbelievable amount of filler, the last half ties things up nicely.

I actually enjoyed this despite it being targeted at Young Adults (a category which I sadly no longer fit into)

I enjoyed Stiff much more than Bonk. While I realize that the subtitle mentions science and sex, the book was too weighed down with too much science. The best parts of the book were interviews with the scientists and subjects, rather than rattling off scientific data.

Easily my favorite Harry Bosch book so far in this series (out of the 8 I've read at this point). It's more of a joint venture between Harry Bosch and Terry McCaleb.

A very enjoyable read.

Total garbage. This is in no way an Alex Cross book, and his character is in it for the prologue only. The only reason the name is mentioned is to fool Cross fans into buying the book. I honestly doubt that James Patterson had anything to do with this book aside from allowing Cross's name to be used and cashing the cheques for doing so.

I found that the actual case was the weakest part of this book, with office politics and Brennan's home life being much more interesting (and easier to read, given all of the jargon that goes along with her criminal investigations).

What a huge disappointment. The twist was unbelievably transparent, and really should be picked up by anyone who read the book that was playing any type of attention.

Fantastic book. Definitely one of the best Michael Connelly books that I've read.

A good read, and definitely an eye opener, but I found the book repetitive.

A big disappointment after Casino Royale. If you can get past the rampant racism, the plot just wasn't as compelling as the first James Bond novel.
