Mixed feeling about this product...
I have mixed feeling about this product. First of all, I was very excited to see this unique-designed indoor plant grower available for consumers. As a kitchen/home decor shopaholic (with 10+ retail home decor manager/buyer experience), I brought this item first thing I saw it on the shelf. I've been wasting a lot of money on herbs/green veggies dying on me in the fridge and I've been searching for ways to save money so I gave my new toy a try. I found it quite noisy and if you can't sleep with a 24hr small fish tank in your kitchen, I will suggest you not to purchase this item. Also, I found this item is a little too big for my medium size kitchen. It has a dia. of approx. 9.4" x 7.4" so when you display it, it kind of looks like a hip looking 'white bucket of ice cream' on your counter taking a lot of your available space. I do like the concept of how the item works for growing plants but don't like the fact that the motor (for pumping water to the base of the plant) doesn't have a timer so it will keep on running until you pull the plug. It's not very cost saving on your electricity bill for the long run for sure. I have no doubt that this item will grow magnificent plants but it just won't work for me. If you don't mind the space and the noise, this item is for you.

alternative to the Aerogarden
Bought this at a local store for half the price than it is selling on Amazon. Just got it today and have to say it is not as big as I thought. I was able to setup it up in less than 10 minutes I would say. I do have to agree that it is noisy but kinda sounds like one of those water fountains so it doesnt bother me too much. As someone had said before on here, if you like the sound of running water, it could be quite relaxing. As for the plant growing, that remains to be seen....I really do like the fact that you can grow your own seeds and the accessories you need seem to be inexpensive. I will update my review once my plants have grown!

Works well but is noisy
Within a week we had sprouts growing, but the internal circulation of the water is quite loud - - sounds like a toilet that is constantly running.
