About the Author
Jeffrey H. Rattiner is preseident of JR Financial Group, Inc., a multipurpose firm serving the financial services industry and consumers. A CPA, CFP, and widely recognized expert on financial planning, he has worked within several key financial planning organizations, including serving as director of professional development and corporate sponsorship for the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, director of technical standards for the CFP Board of Standards, and technical manager in the Personal Finance Planning division of the AICPA. He publishes and speaks regularly on financial planning and related topics. Mr. Rattiner earned is Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with an emphasis in Marketing Management from Bernard M. Baruch College in 1981, his MBA in Certified Public Accounting from Hofstra University in 1983, and his Certified Financial Planner education from New York University in 1992. He is licensed as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with the CFP Board of Standards in Denver, Colorado and as a Certified Public Accountant & Insurance Broker in New York and Colorado.
