If you're the sort of cook who prefers mashed to whipped potatoes, this potato masher could very well become your next best friend. It's safe to use on nonstick cookware, and its durable nylon head is heat resistant to 250 degrees F. Works great!
In true OXO Good-grips style this works great! It is slightly circular so that it can mash all the way around the pan and it didn't destroy the non-stick on my pan when I tried it (somewhat nervously) the other day. My only complaint with it is that it doesn't fit in a normal kitchen drawer.

Difficult to clean
This Potato Masher from OXO does a super job of mashing potatoes but has a few disadvantages over the traditional wire masher. Since the tines on the nylon masher are very narrow, the potatoes get easily clogged. The small tines also make it difficult to clean. OXO also makes the traditional wire masher out of stainless steel with the OXO grip. That's the one to get.
