In other words, if you are expecting a faithful rendering of Damon and Naomi's captivating live show, forget it!

Kramer has taken it upon himself to layer a considerable amount of extra instrumentation and noise (crowd noises, chimes, flowing water, chirping birds, radio static) to this disc, and only about half of it actually works. There are some some exceptional moments on this album (the clarinet, piano and drum enhanced "Pyewacket", and synth-horn fueled "Life Will Pass You By" and the cheezy mellotron-like textures on "Pandora's Box" and "How Long" are very nice.), but often Kramer's noodling's only serves to strip these songs of their intimacy.
