Customer Reviews
Good scale if you know the trick
This scale seems quite accurate and consistent. Its thin and very stable. There's one characteristic that can be a bit confusing. If you weigh someone twice in a row in a short period of time, the scale refuses to notice small weight changes, like taking off your shoes. For example, I weighed myself, then picked up a 8-oz glass of water, and weighed myself again, expecting to see a 0.5 pound change. My weight was identical to the prior weighing. I got off and got back on but this time holding a 20 pound weight, and the scale noticed the 20 extra pounds correctly, +/- 0.1 pounds. I got off, got back on with the 8 oz of water, and this time the scale noticed the extra 0.5lb. I got off and back on without the water and the scale didn't notice the loss of weight. So the bottom line is this: if you want the scale to notice a small weight change, you have to force it to see a big change in between. Once you learn this trick, you can weigh things within about +/- 2 oz.
I like the scale.
Weight Watchers WW51XR Scale
The Scale appears to be accurate and it is about what I expected as far as appearance but the digital readout is very dim and hard to read even though it has a large readout display.
Good Value
I wanted a good scale that reads in tenths without spending a fortune. This product met my expectations. I especially like the large numerals and its repeatablity. I think it is a good product.
