Favors, the internationally known bassist for The Art Ensemble Of Chicago and countless other ensembles, is known the world over for the sheer power of his tone and expression. Aoki, one of the most recorded acoustic bassists in the history of new music recording brings a rich energy to this collection of nine compositions.

As we move into the next century, "2 X 4" in many ways projects the music of the future. A music that is not restrained by form or corporate systems.
