Closest thing to playing it...5
Having been lucky enough to play Mr. Reich's music, I can say that the visual and audio on the DVD feel closest to the inner belonging and spirituality I feel when I've played his music. Brings back the humanity that some of his later pieces seem to lack on CD performance alone. Great item!

Great tribute to Reich5
Reich at the Roxy contains three wonderful pieces by Steve Reich wonderfully performed by Alarm Will Sound. Also included is a nice interview with Mr Reich. It is very listener-friendly to have the live concert on both CD and DVD in one package.
This release contains also the world premiere recording of Three Genesis Settings (1993), from Reich's video-opera The Cave. The singers on this recording are especially great!
