Functional but not completely installed
I have installed and reinstalled this product many many times. I have a computer with three separate Window users. I selected a user for the actual installation and the product installed without a hitch in the selected user. However, for the other two users, (1) the "security center" component of the product opens to a blank screen and (2) my Internet Explorer registry entries seem to become corrupted. I can restore the IE registry entries with a fix provided by McAfee. However, after doing so, the security center continues to open to a blank screen. However, the program seems to be working properly in all other respects, and the only problem is the blank screen issue when trying to open the security center. Although this is a nuisance, I do have full access to the security center screen for the user that was selected to install the program. I have used McAfee's free chat support but they have been unable to help me and I refuse to pay for telephone support which is never free. I strongly suggest McAfee amend their policy to permit free telephone support for installation-related issues. Chat support tried to help, but after several contacts it seemed that all they were doing was repeating themselves. If you are OK with the possibility that access to the security center may only be available in one user profile then you should be satisfied with the program overall. It could be a problem however if access to other users on your computer is password-protected. Compared to Norton Internet Security Suite, my computer does not seem to be bogged down like it was when I used Norton prior to moving to McAfee. Incidentally, the problems with McAfee were encountered after being 100% certain Norton was off my system completely. I also have XP Home Edition with service pack 3, so I wonder if the new service pack is causing the issue with the blank security center screen on two of the three users. McAfee does not seem to think so, but SP 3 is very new and there have been upgrade issues going from SP2 to SP3 reported.

I Like it has it all in one product
I like for the simple fact you get a email spam protector, firewall,anti virus etc all in one For the price tag its a bargain. I have a older dell and It hasn't slowed me down one bit and that included I have all the the sims 2 games installed and you would of think if anyone's computer it would of slowed down it would of mine. I am running xp and no problems. It works great too with outlook express for spam , getting rid of those junk emails like from survey companies etc. The antivirus portion is good as IT always has been from this company. Its a good product and good to use for one whole year before having to renew the subscription. I intend to keep this kind of product around for a long time. I like Mcafee and use them frequently or AVG free but I rather use Mcafee they are more known and better protection over all from them. Thats all i wanna say bout this product. Other then its one of the best security suites going .

A WORTHY PRODUCT NAME



Quite a few others may do just as we do - if a company sells products at a reasonable price that perform well and please us, we tend to go back to that brand name again and again. That has been our history with McAfee. We've been happy with their products in the past, and so tried this one with no hesitancy.
The convenience of it protecting three computers is a plus for us, and their online help has been excellent - especially for this computer challenged person during the installation.
It seems that everyday we read or hear more and more horror stories about computers being hacked or users spied upon. Protection is of the utmost importance to us and we feel that this Security Suite does offer that.
What we do not care for is the automatic renewal - would much prefer that it be our choice not the company's. However, having said that we have found that McAfee provides terrific protection, and we'd much rather be safe than sorry.
