Customer Reviews
Happy I bought it
I recently felt some nostalgia for KISS after being dragged by my gf to a local summer festival where a KISS tribute band was performing. The next day I hopped onto Amazon and couldn't resist purchasing this collection. I had this on vinyl back in 1978 when I was 14 yrs old. I remember wearing that old double-record out. Now I'm wearing out this (single) CD containing 20 KISS classics from their original lineup.
These guys took a lot of flack, even during their 70s heyday, about being nothing more than a theatrical sideshow without musical talent. This album proves their critics wrong. Double Platinum is an outstanding collection that makes this middle-aged guy want to sing along and stomp my feet to some great rock-n-roll.
Double Pleasure
Double Platinum by Kiss is the best of this Hot Rock Band. Do not buy all the other compilations of their mixed bag of songs. This disc has all the good ones you need. When they were Hot and rocked out. Get this and then buy Love Gun, it's missing I stole your love and Christine Sixteen, other than that every song on Double is Great and once you play it you will want to hear it again.
Good Compilation Album
This complation cd is good. I really like the clearity of the songs but at times they seem to polished. Overall a good album.
