Now in its second edition, this is undoubtedly the best single-volume medical atlas available today, the only better resource being Netter's classic eight-volume set, published in 13 physical volumes over 33 years starting in 1959 and originally called CIBA Collection of Medical Illustrations after the publisher. (The name was changed to Netter's Collection of Medical Illustrations by the new publisher, Novartis.) Once again, Netter's masterly artwork has been faithfully reproduced, though the first edition (LJ 12/89) has been updated to reflect current anatomical knowledge and to incorporate new cross-sectional images to assist in the recognition of current "scanned" images. Organized by anatomical regions, the illustrations are colorful, easily defined, and clearly labeled, and the book closes with a very easy-to-use 48-page index. Netters= the Anatomy Bible
As an Anatomy Masters student, I highly recommend Netters for anyone who is taking an advanced anatomy course especially graduate students and medical students. This book has wonderfully detailed pictures that aid in your studying, and the online Netters is riddled with study hints, image downloads and has really improved my study guide capabilities. This book may be a bit advanced for most undergraduate courses (there are cheaper ones out there with everything you need), but will definitely cover all the material you need to know.

Good For Gross Anatomy
This text has quality, picture that will help you understand gross anatomy. If you want a clinical atlas this is not the one for you. It does have the MRI's, CT etc. However, it does the the job for the student and helps for provide a greater understanding of gross anatomy.

Medicine student review
It's got fully detailed and realistic drawings.Helps get your bearings on human anatomy and it's sections and layers helps you to get to know exactly what you need. Easy to understand beautifully drew. The 2006 edition includes new drawings from his "aprentices" specially Carlos Machado,and new clinical cases,x-rays,etc. if you intend to buy a netter, and you wonder if it's worth buying a 2004 you better save some money which you won't regret. It's easier to understand and its sections are better placed then sobotta's. But if you prefer real corpses pictures you might preffer yokochi's.
