Amazon.com Product Description
Strathwood furniture has quality, ease of use, and casual elegance at its core. Each piece is rigorously tested for durability, and assembly instructions have been standardized for simplicity from start to finish. Strathwood furniture is sleekly designed, handsomely finished, and built to last. This classic style and reliable craftsmanship will weather ever-changing trends and regular use for years to come.
The Strathwood Bistro collection features handsome wicker furniture with superb weather resistance and maintenance-free care, making it ideal for outdoor use. Finished in a warm mocha color, this compact armchair is made of tightly woven flat strips of synthetic wicker. The strands are made from durable polyethylene (PE) resin, which is designed to withstand fading, weathering, and aging within a temperature range of -70C (-94F) to 80C (176F) degrees. The washable wicker strands have a powder-coated finish with a modest sheen that easily sheds drizzle and accidental drips, and its looks will remain unchanged for three years under normal usage.
The chair’s straight-topped back features a gentle bow shape, as do the arms. A weatherproof aluminum frame and all-weather, four-inch wooden legs provide increased durability while making the chair impervious to sun and rain.
Adding finesse to the look and comfort of the armchair is the natural-white seat cushion. The 100 percent cotton cover unzips in the back to remove for cleaning, while the two-inch-thick polyurethane foam insert retains its shape over time. Overall, the chair measures 23 inches arm-to-arm and 31 inches in height, while the seat measures 18 by 17-1/2 inches. The top of the cushion lies 17-1/2 inches from the floor, the standard height of most dining chairs. No assembly is required.

My Tush Is Numb
When I got this chair and sat in it, the first thing my husband said was, "No one who's big or tall is going to be able to sit in that." And he's right. The seat is an inch or two too narrow and not deep enough. I'm 5'3" and the edge of the seat is a couple inches behind my knees. The back of the chair provides good lumbar support, but since the seat bottom is so small and the cushion is so hard, I feel a lot of pressure on the backs of my thighs and my derriere. I did take the cushion off. The chair is more comfortable without it, but I'm sitting a little low. Honestly, my folding camp chair (lightly cushioned) is far more comfortable than this chair.
The cushion has a (not) removable cotton cover. I've tried, and I can't get the cover off. Well, I could if I ripped it, but that defeats the purpose. The zipper is too short and the polyurethane foam is too hard to squish. A longer zipper or softer foam (I vote for softer foam) would make the removable aspect of the cushion cover functional.
I do love the look of the chair and the table. These pieces are lovely to look at and would complement nearly any decor. I'm impressed by the sturdiness and workmanship as well. While I wouldn't recommend this chair - except for those who actually like airplane seats in coach - I recommend without reservation the Strathwood brand. Just make sure you get furniture that fits you. And make or buy your own cushions.
beautiful & stunning value
along with the lounger this is easily the best value in the enitre range & quite stunning. we bought 4 of these & are very pleased. they are comfortable, & take up little room. the price is simply incredible. we bought 2 of the wicker chairs; they too are lovely, & slightly wider, but they represent lesser value. however they do finish off the set wonderfully well.
the only criticism is with the cushions, they get dirty very quickly even from the rain, & though they can get washed, this is a real nuisance.
btw the loungers in the same collection are also different & wonderful. In fact, in short this is THE set to buy for value, individuality & style
Cute Little Chair
Love this little chair. It fits nicely into a small space without hogging too much room. Clean lines, modern looking, unique. I've paired it with the similar wicker sectional set. comfy but not 'overstuffed' (i don't like the oddly oversized furniture sold at many box stores). If the construction is similar to the sectional set, should hold up very well. Note that it is made of polyethylene, not PVC (polyvinyl chloride). PVC is very toxic in its manufacturing; i bought this chair specifically because it was not made of PVC/vinyl.
