Lovely shoe!
I picked these up based on their sale price and the quality and finish was just beautiful. Just as one would expect from Allen Edmond. These are selling (if they have your size) for nearly sixty percent off their retail. Fantastic deal. Shell cordovan rarely goes on sale.

I'd wanted these for a long time and when they went on sale I grabbed a pair. The pair that showed up, which turned out to be the last in my size, were clearly, grossly irregular. I called Amazon for an exchange and that wasn't an option as they were out of stock. I called AE in hopes they'd simply exchange what was obviously defective for a pair that were 1st quality. AE insisted that the shoes had to go back to Amazon for exchange. So, I wound up returning them, which was a real heartbreaker, as with the exception of the manufacturing errors (uneven attachment of the two pieces of leather that hold the laces only on the left shoe...a good 3/4" off), they were great shoes. I will continue to look for another pair.
