That Faith Hill would increase the pop elements of her music doesn't come as a surprise. After all, she's a youthful, vivacious woman plenty capable of gaining the mass appeal mined by fellow female country artists Shania Twain, LeAnn Rimes, and Deana Carter. What is surprising about Hill's fourth album is how she brings new depth to her songs as well as a fresher, more pop-based sound. Instead of trying to out-sing Rimes or out-dance Twain, she works with producers Dann Huff and Byron Gallimore to create a distinctive country-pop style that is as mature as it is entertaining. As her massive crossover hit "This Kiss" proves, Hill and her collaborators know how to make the most of her limited voice and exuberant personality. The album has plenty of songs that use her talents, including the initial smash hit. --Michael McCall
Country Music Magazine
It's the sound of a woman who wants to be a pop diva in the same league with Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Shania Twain and Sheryl Crow. It's the sound of someone aiming for the over-the-top, music-swelling, tonsil-baring moment without much concern for subtlety or country music.

Third Time not quite as charming
This album isn't quite as good as Faith's first two. The lyrics to songs are more commonplace at times. The album as a whole is shading toward pop or easy listening. There are more filler songs on this album, a longer album than the first 2. Here are notable songs:
This Kiss - very well sung love tune
You Give Me Love
Love Ain't Like That
Wild Frontier - slow. singer is exploring life with her lover
Secret of Life - good remake of the Gretchen Peters song
Hard Way - an excellent energetic song
What a fun album!
Man, what a fun album. This one had so many hits, thus staying in the cd player for a long time. At the time this album came out, I had just finished highschool, and my older sister and I were taking road trips to my parents lakehouse, and needless to say this cd got a lot of play.
Such fun songs like "This Kiss", "The Secret of life (shows her sultry voice), and "Just to hear you say that you love me".
Faith has a dynamic voice!
Faith at Her Best!
I have only recently become a country music fan. I wasn't sure I would like Faith Hill, but this was the first CD of hers I purchased. From the very first song "This Kiss," I was instantly drawn into her music. What I love about her songs is that they are so real. "You Give Me Love" is so real and so strong. It's nice to hear a song that a woman sings about a man who is crying for a change. "The Secret of Life" has taken some getting used to. It is not my absolute favorite on the CD. "Me" is the song that means the most to me since I have experienced trying to change for someone else in a relationship. And "I Love You" is a heart-jerker for those who have loved someone from afar. She has a big voice, and she nails each song on this CD. Give it a try!
