Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $6.94 Very influenced by the Beatles. Certian songs, especially Better Save Yourself, sound very much like the sound John Lennon had on some of his albums in the early 70's. That slow drum beat with echoing vocals.

Buy used from: $5.99 Those of you who are Beatles fan's who have not yet got into their solo stuff...This is a must own. John's primal scream masterpiece is up there with Harrisons All Things Must Pass. So simple, and wonderfully depressing. The best of his solo work. RIP John.
![]() | Ram by Paul & Linda McCartney
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $6.94 A lot of people bust Paul's chops for being too soft. This from a man who wrote Helter Skelter, Soily, Olid Siam Sir, Back in the USSR and many other rockers. Anyway, I love his 70's stuff and this album has some real rockers on it. The harmonies are outstanding. This album is futher evidence that Paul McCartney is probably the most diverse song writer/musical arranger of all time.

![]() | Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $6.99 They say rice-a-roni is the SanFransico treat. Well, i beg to differ. These guys are one of the orginal jam bands of the "Sanfransico Sound" in the late 60's. A live album of truely rockin material.

![]() | In the Skies by Peter Green
Brit blues man and original Fleetwood Mac(before they sold out) guitarist's solo album from 79. Peter Green is a prime example of the notion..it's not what you play but what you don't play...A reverb filled masterpeice.

![]() | Empty Sky by Elton John
Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $4.30 One might be surprised to hear Eltons 1st album from 1969. I know i was. Aside from his brilliant piano work there is also some great guitar from Caleb Quaye. All his early stuff is great, but i think this is my fave. Listen to the title track! Very stones-ish!
![]() | This Was by Jethro Tull

![]() | David Bowie by David Bowie
Buy used from: $1.88 Bowie's early stuff is great. This album is quite different than what one would expect from him. It's folky british feel with quirky lyrics are almost in the same vain as Syd Barrett.
![]() | Yes by Yes
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $4.99 The debut from Yes really gets overshadowed by Fragile and the others that produced hits. Jon Andersons voice is beautiful and Chris Squire rocks on bass. Some great cover songs on here.
![]() | Beatles for Sale by The Beatles
Buy new: $13.97 / Used from: $5.46 As they say, save the best for last. In my mind, everything these 4 guys did was extrordinary. Could you imagine what they would have sounded like had they stayed together throughout the 70's? Anyway....Lennon's song writing takes a new turn on this album, as does Pauls. Note George's great 12 string guitar work on Words of Love.
