If Dierks first cd (titled Dierks Bentley) made him a rising star, "Modern Day Drifter" elevated him to the status of a bonafide star within the Country Music scene. Not a bad song on the CD, great listen!

Billy is a very talented artist who is a mix of a contemporary and neo-traditional style of Country music. He is a breath of fresh air in an industry that has stars that show very little true country styling such as Dixie Chicks (yuck) and Rascal Flats. Great CD!

Blake Sheton is one of the best pure country artists and quite possibly the most underrated singer in the industry today. How this CD is not talked about as one of the greats of the last decade is completely beyond me. You can make the arguement that he is the best pure country voice to come out in the last decade as well.

Brad is definitely one of the more talented country singers around and while this may not be the perfect cd, it is for the most part a very good one. "Mud on the Tires" contains the downright incredible ("Whiskey Lullaby") and the downright terrible ("Spaghetti Western"). He is however able to balance out this CD with a good handful of very good songs.

Brooks and Dunn is obviously one of the best, if not the absolute best, duo that country music has ever seen. Much like Alan Jackson you would be well served to own all of their cd's, but this is a great starting point for new fans.

After their last two cd's have ventured to a much more contemporary country/rock sound than they had previously shown, Hillbilly Deluxe marks a return to what we had come to expect from the duo. This is the best effort that we have seen from them in the last 10 years and every song is consistently good while a few songs are flat out great ("Play Something Country" and "Believe").

It doesn't matter if you are a straight tradionalist or a fan of the contemporary sound, you cant help but love Craig Morgan. Every song on here is better than good and it flows perfectly, so it makes for a really good listen. I dont know what else I can say, but this is a great cd and one that should be in your collection.

Wow, what a great debut by Eric. He has a little bit of throw back feel, more so to Johnny Cash or Hank Jr rebel type (not to there level though), yet with more of a contemporary polish. He is the next generation of the bad-boy rebel type of artist and he definitely pulls it off.

50 number ones says quite a few things, but most of all it says that you are a great signer and that is exactly what George is. This is a must own and is a great introduction to one of the greats.

Great collection of Hank Jr songs and you have to love "A Country Boy Can Survive".

Jake has a very strong debut and is sure to become a fixture in the country music scene. You got to love "Yee Haw", "You Can Thank Dixie", and "The Bad in Me". The cd flows great and is a very enjoyable listen, he is one to watch.

Jeff has a great baritone voice and makes a very enjoyable record that flows nicely between love songs ("Long, Slow Kisses"), fun songs ("Rub It In"), and old-style twangy songs ("Good People"). He is not near as well known as others on the list, but he is just as good as many of them.
