Definitely Zeppelin's best work.
Dark Side Of The MoonDark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $4.19
Unquestionably Pink Floyd's most known and loved work. Still haven't tried the thing with the Wizard of Oz.
IllinoiseIllinoise by Sufjan Stevens
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $8.60
So so so so catchy. Perfect for those who love Sufjan or never heard his stuff before.
Hopes and FearsHopes and Fears by Keane
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $3.08
Pretty much every song is good. Some might say they all sound the same, but that's usually what people say when they don't like the band/don't listen to the album. Also, the whole album is very cohesive, with ups and downs and a lot of emotion.
Under the Iron SeaUnder the Iron Sea by Keane
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $4.97
Can't decide which of their albums is better, but has the same characteristics as the first album. Only difference is that there are similarities in songs, due to the fact that Tim Rice-Oxley groups the album into 3 sections (I believe it goes 3-4-4), so each section has similarities.
Led Zeppelin IV (aka ZOSO)Led Zeppelin IV (aka ZOSO) by Led Zeppelin
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $3.90
I think this was the first Zeppelin CD I listened to. Loved the band since.
OK ComputerOK Computer by Radiohead
Buy new: $12.49 / Used from: $2.99
What do I need to say about this album that you already should know.
Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm NotWhatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not by Arctic Monkeys
Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $5.04
Some quintessential brit rock here. Lyrically their best work.
Favourite Worst NightmareFavourite Worst Nightmare by Arctic Monkeys
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $6.75
Just as good as the first album. Lyrically not as good, but catchier than the first.
GraduationGraduation by Kanye West
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $4.77
Couldn't stop listening for about 3 weeks after I got it.
Romeo's GarageRomeo's Garage by Peter Mayer
Buy new: $16.99 / Used from: $14.97
Lesser known, but definitely an amazing guitarist. Plays in Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band, but also does awesome solo stuff, plus has great, original christmas music! This album is one of his 6ish solo albums, and probably his best.
Oh, Inverted WorldOh, Inverted World by The Shins
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $4.99
Hard to choose between this and Wincing The Night Away, but had to go with the more lo-fi.
Tenacious DTenacious D by Tenacious D
Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $4.69
One of the funniest, and most addictive albums I've ever heard. All songs/sketch's are still funny after the 100th listen.
Metropolis Part 2: Scenes from a MemoryMetropolis Part 2: Scenes from a Memory by Dream Theater
Buy new: $18.98 / Used from: $4.75
My favorite, and probably one of the most underrated, concept albums ever. In fact, Dream Theater themselves are already underrated and under-appreciated, just because they are put in a genre that gets much press in mainstream music.
Late RegistrationLate Registration by Kanye West
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $2.98
First experience with Kanye, and it definitely left a good impression.
ToxicityToxicity by System of a Down
Buy new: $5.99 / Used from: $1.64
One of the first CD's I bought with my own money. Still probably their best overall album.
Give UpGive Up by The Postal Service
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $5.25
Addictive as hell, though mildly depressing at some points.
Everything in TransitEverything in Transit by Jack's Mannequin
Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $7.96
Except for "The Mixed Tape," which was destroyed by the radio and MTV, the whole album is very enjoyable.
