The 2nd half of the album is a perfect suite of real rock.

A darkly poetic, yet fun and playful at the same time.

A more artistic and musically daring album.

Much maligned in it's orignal (over produced by Phil Specter) incarnation, the naked version gives a tougher and more gritty sound, and is very fitting as the Beatles' last studio album.

Somtimes hilarious, sometimes frightening, Zappa'a perverse creativeness is always entertaining and his deep voice is wonderfully creepy.

An example of how the right performer and the right audience can make magic happen. Truly the greatest American songsmith, Cash blends rockabilly sound with classic country music story telling.

While Cash does not sing original songs on this album, he makes them his own in a very haunting, yet sweet way. He gives a certain soul to the songs that the originals lacked.

Another example of a great band playing for a great audience. The kinks have the tough gritty sound that lifted off the punk movement. Green Day would be nowhere if not for the Kinks.

Is there anything better than a British rock band performing twangy southern rock? This album takes me back to dirty smoke filled honkytonk bars listening to great fun music while drinking cold beer.

It's a puzzle why they even came out with a greatest hits album when the album was more than half filled with songs from Kick. A great range from rhythmic Mediate to sad and soulful Tear Us Apart.

No better live album has ever been made. The David Byrne fronted group invented New Wave, the blend of traditional rock and experimental synthesized music the 80's will be forever known for.

I didn't want to include any Greatest Hits albums, but this was perhaps my favorite CD during my college years. Listening to Buffett on study breaks always made me long for Spring Break on the beach
