A wobbly microphone stand
With the mic stand I bought, the lowest screw doesn't thread properly -- it seems way too small for the screw hole. I can stand the thing up without tightening the now useless lower screw, but the stand is kind of wobbly. I put some electrical tape around the bottom pole to tighten the gap between the pole and the bottom sleeve which seems to help a bit. I'd be willing to spend a few dollars more, though, for a better made stand. FYI.
Not a bad mic stand
I bought this mic stand because it came with the needed 10' usb extension. The stand and the cable both work as expected and without problems. The stand itself seems to be a little on the lighter side, which might be a plus for some. As long as you don't swing it around like a weapon it's sure to last.
You get what you pay for.
For $20 you can't be mad at this product and the USB extension cord is a great bonus. However, the mic stand itself is really flimsy. After a couple of adjustments up and down, the bottom screw no longer holds the pole in place. I can still set it up and make it work, but I'd hoped for a sturdier stand. Still, you get what you pay for and for the price you won't find better.
