A grittier tone makes for a more intriguing story, but the same excellent gameplay is there for fans of the series. Not as many options as Dual Strike, but there is online play through the Nintendo WFC.

This was my first time to play this game and it lived up to the hype. An engrossing story and excellent DS graphics make this one of the best RPGS on the DS (and there are a lot of good ones to choose from).

This is the first time this game came to the US (in english). A solid and fun Final Fantasy entry following a typical find magic crystals and save the world plot. The job system here is a lot of fun though and adds a lot of strategy. The graphics and sound are fantastic.

A soft real-time strategy game. A fun if not especially deep continuation of the story and characters from Final Fantasy XII. There are challenging moments which make the game rather satisfying, plus it's fun to see the FF XII gang again, I just wish that Lhuso had been a playable character this time.

A very basic RPG with straightforward gameplay and story. One of the few RPGs that you can play for a while let sit for a couple of weeks or a month and come back to without any problems. Fun if not very original.

Challenging Crosswords and a great control scheme make this the best puzzle game for wordies.

Bejeweled with RPG elements. The puzzling is addictive and while the story is goofy the variety of enemies to "fight" and skills and items make this an enduring RPG of sorts.

Can be found for very cheap and provides a surprisingly fun action game. Although there is a time element that is obnoxious the gameplay is solid.

Yoshi's Island on the SNES is one of my favorite games ever. This takes the same style and adds more maze like environments which can make the game frustrating. The last world is very difficult which can take away some of the fun, although other elements such as switching to baby peach, donkey kong and wario are fun additions.
