For the Simpsons fan who has everything! While The Simpsons is more at home with Halloween horror, their Christmas episodes manage to (somewhat) warm the heart while staying true to the series' subversive muse. "She of Little Faith," to quote a disillusioned Lisa, "could not be more blasphemous," but it does boast guest voice Richard Gere as Lisa's Buddhist mentor. This collection also includes the vintage "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire," which launched the series, the classic "Mr. Plow" ("Call Mr. Plow/That's my name/That name again is Mr. Plow"), "Miracle on Evergreen Terrace," and "Grift of the Magi," with Gary Coleman making like Tiny Tim ("Whatchu talkin' bout...everyone!"). As holiday host Krusty the Clown proclaims in "Magi," this Simpsons stocking stuffer is guaranteed to give you and yours "a merry Christmas, a happy Hanukkah, a kwazy Kwanzaa, and a solemn and dignified Ramadan." --Donald Liebenson

Perfect!!!
It was exactly what I wanted when I purchased it and I LOVED watching these episodes but it really made me wish the Simpsons would do more Christmas episodes like this! I wanted more at the end.
Mr. Plow though it was not a Christmas episode was freaking hilarious.
"Could you try not to scrape my asphalt?"-Plow Customer
"Kiss my asphalt"-Homer
"Put it in H!"- Foreign Car Dealer!
Freaking hilarious, so I even loved having that on there even if it wasn't a real Christmas episode. The Christmas ones were wonderful too. I always sort of hated Miracle on Evergreen Terrace but after watching it again now on DVD I can appreciate it for what it is and it is very funny. I was just kind of poed at how Bart ruined Christmas, but the references to It's a Wonderful Life and the hilarious things that ensue in the episode after it all goes down are worth it.
The extra isn't really that great IMO. Mr. Burns had more great moments than that, but the episodes make up for that big time.
Easily one of my favorite DVDs.
I love it.
This is nice offbeat answer to the endless Rudolf and Frosty movies that go on ;)
Even my kid has asked for it a couple times.
In this collection; you have: Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire, Mr Plow, Miracle on Evergreen Terrace, Grift of the Magi, She of Little Faith and the the Mr Burns Finest Moments Featurette.
Overall they are not bad. The featurette I could care less about.
One nice aspect of this DVD is the theme of Christmas as you will not have to sift through the box sets if you have them.
However, one problem is the missing play all option. I docked it one point for that.
Now if they would only make the Treetop of Horror into one set!
Great Simpsons Holiday DVD...
I bought this DVD for my brother for Christmas, so I opened it up to see if the disk was broken and I ended up watching it.
"Simpsons roasting on an Open Fire" is a classic. I'll never get tired of Homer dressing up as Santa to bring in extra money because Marge had to spend all of the money on removing Bart's tattoo.
The stupidest Christmas episode, in my opinion, is the one with Gary Coleman. The school shuts down because Principal Skinner had to pay Fat Tony $2,000 for a broken wheelchair ramp, so the school ends up being bought by a toy company.
Anyway, great DVD for the Simpsons fan who has everything, and wants more.
