The Brak Show Volume 2 compiles the final 14 episodes of this truly offbeat Cartoon Network series (2000-2004), which spun the dim-witted space pirate Brak from Cartoon Planet and Space Ghost: Coast to Coast into a very skewed sort of family sitcom, albeit one with aliens, killer robots, dissolute magicians, and an insectoid best friend who wants nothing more than to kill the star of the show. As in the first volume of The Brak Show, our hero (voiced by Andy Merrill) lives with his mom (Joanna Daniel, who replaced Marsha Crenshaw) and miniature dad (George Lowe) in a picture-perfect suburban town somewhere in deep space; this time around, Brak's adventures include entering a rap contest to win a trip to a spa resort ("Brak Street," with guest star Cee-Lo of Danger Mouse), discovering exactly what Dad does with his time ("We Ski in Peace"), and winning his own TV show in Japan ("Sexy New Brak Show Go"). It goes without saying that The Brak Show is an acquired taste for those that aren't already fanatical about Adult Swim titles, but for those that can roll with the surreal stories and humor, there are a lot of quirky laughs to be found here, especially from Merrill's performance as the slow-witted but eager Brak. Note to fans: the two-disc Volume 2 set includes no supplemental features (unlike the previous set), and also excludes the second-to-last episode, "New Year's Eve Party at Brak's House," which not only explained the future of the show's characters, but included guest appearances by the casts of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, and Sealab 2021. --Paul Gaita

The brak show volume 2 4
I've read a number of reviews of "brak show" volume 2 and all but one of them was negative.
I for one have to disagree and say that I actually enjoyed this volume alot, and in fact I'm re-watching it (for the thousandth time) again right now, as we speak. er- type. whatever.

It has an episode on disc two in which mom appears to go crazy, and gets homicidal. How much better can you get than that?
Oh, and Dad buys a vacuum cleaner, and Thundercleese falls in love with it.
These are only a couple of the hilarious things I love about this set.
Honestly if you like "the brak show", if you love the random humor and the off-the-wall antics of these characters... chances are you'll love it as much as I do.

Sure maybe it's not my favorite DVD... honestly I'm much more of an "aqua teen" kind of girl. But it's hilarious in a brak-show way, and I suggest if you like Brak, or just like to laugh, buy this DVD and laugh laugh laugh.

But then again, it's only my opinion.

OH, and one more thing. Obviously the person who didn't know who Clarence was or where he came from doesn't watch the Brak show volume one as much as I do. Because I saw him and instantly knew. It was the episode on volume 1 where Zorak is a bully, and has his bully stand taken over by "butchy tuffington". remember, the butchy is in quotation marks. lol.
anyway, clarence was one of the kids who got beat up. He was there when Mom beat butchy up, to get Zorak out of her house. "Are you the new bully?" "No, I"m just brak's mom. now you go home and tell your mother I said hello." "yes ma'am". now it seems to me that someone who doesnt' even remember *that* doesn't need to be acting like he's a brak expert.

Has some of the better Brak episodes5
I read some of these reviews & had to voice my opinion. There are funny episodes in this set, and most are better even such as the rap episode Brak Street. The mom's voice isn't a drastic change and she has few lines anyhow, yet I didn't find her to be any less able to deliver the lines as the previous actress. In fact, if I hadn't read the reviews here, I may not have noticed at all except for the credits. To each his own in what they find funny, but I found this to be just as funny as the prior Brak set, if not better. If you like Brak, I'm sure you'll like this set, too.

Howling Funny5
I don't understand why so many people are unhappy with this. Sure it may not have as much extras as the first, but it does contain my favorite episode BRAK STREET. Mom's accent does get on your nerves at times, and i did enjoy some of Dad's line a bit more in the first one..But this is definatly a must own for Brak and Space Ghost fans.
