Customer Reviews
Great product...wonderful for lunges!
I got these slanted risers a week or so ago, and I'm so glad I did! I have a high step and a full sized regular step and these work just great. They fit perfectly with both of my steps and all of my risers.
If you are using the slanted risers with your full sized step as an incline weight bench, please note that you HAVE to have 3 regular risers on the top and 1 regular riser on the bottom to make the slanted risers work. Otherwise, you'll have a gap. I wasn't very comfortable in the decline position, so I won't be using the risers for decline.
I'm mainly using the slanted risers (one of them) under my high step while doing front lunges....and my knees REALLY appreciate the angled surface over the floor!
Haven't tried the DVD that came with the risers, so no comment on that.
If you're looking for a cheap alternative to a weight bench, and already have at least 4 regular risers and a full sized step, then this is the way to go!
Great price!
These are great for incline bench work on the club step.... I am doing Cathe's STS workouts and these slanted risers are great. Also a great price!!
Great price for these
I bought these risers about a year-and-a-half ago, mostly to turn my step bench into a slanted bench so I could do chest exercises on an incline and decline. While I mostly use the risers in that way, like other reviewers, I also use them for doing lunges, and they work great for both. Amazon also has the best price around for these, especially with the free shipping.
Like the regular base risers for the step, these slanted risers are sturdy and solid, and I never feel unstable. Fitness Fan also mentioned her review that you need to be careful in how you place these: to get them to work with my bench and be stable, I need to place three regular risers on one side + a slanted riser, and then then one slanted riser on the other side. If you don't do so, you'll be wobbling all over, which can be dangerous.
The DVD that comes with these risers is also a nice bonus, and gives some fun ideas for using them.
Overall, these provide nice versatility and allow me to use my step bench as a weight bench for doing weight-training exercises.
