The good invention from Venegas
For me, is the must original and best album from Venegas. Unless the next titles put the singer in the lists, i'm sure than this work is the best composition in the Mexican Rock music. The lyrics are related perfectly with the mexican culture, and explain many woman senses like can't be totally free but release from his predators.
I dare to say than this is the best work from Julieta Venegas to they puclic. Unless SI and SAL Y LIMON albums sell more copies, don't show the strength in the voice of the artist.
Accordion's ROCK!!!!
Venegas' sophomore album is her best work. This album has deep lyrics, complex instrument work and does not sound weird.
Julieta's best album
I have had this album for a while, and just recently pulled it out again. Julieta is now a big name in the Spanish music industry due to the popularity of her new album, however, I think this album is her BEST.
She is one of the most innovative singers in pop/rock music today. Her sound is extremely unique, she cannot be compared, in my opinion, to ANYONE in the English or Spanish speaking music world. Her singing style is very playful, yet well orchestrated. She mixes rock, pop, and electro beats with accordeon sounds, piano, and guitar. You can listen to an immense amount of different sounds, even Mexican norteño music(Mexican polka).
If you are interested in listening to an exquisitely unique pop/rock sound, this is the best album to go by. The only comparison I think would do Julieta justice is to BJORK, not because she sounds like her, but because she has created an innovative style all of her own, one which cannot be boxed or matched.
