P-Funk Continues
As a funkateer-to-the-grave, I very much enjoyed watching one of the most innovative bands perform after their hey-day. They've still got it! George Clinton introduces his granddaughter to the stage and the funk spreads to another generation. The musicians are fantastic, although some of the original members are not performing in this show. You will enjoy this DVD.
I miss my gray matter
I can't go to my right (or left for that matter), 400 meters is my distance event to the car, and I resent that Coca Cola no longer makes free glasses. But George Clinton is still PFunk. If you want to get a visual sense of what the Parliament/Funkadelic experience was all about then buy the The Mothership Connection Live From Houston and leave The supreme funkster and this DVD alone. If "Free your mind" is still your mantra, if you know why the Temptations tried to go Psychedelic, and still don't understand why Oxford dictionary credits antidisestablishmentarianism as the longest word in the English language, then you are in the right place.
Maybe the passage of time has transformed the "P" to passive, but it will never mean passé.
