Average customer review:Product Description
(2 albums on one CD) 1975's Alvin Stone chronicles and glorifies the life of a fictional gangster. It has good lyrics worthy of a gangsta-rap update, a throbbing beat, and a great vocal from 'Sweet' James Epps. 1976's Night People features more Detroit R&B and soul from Epps and company.

Customer Reviews
excellent album! It should be reissued!
I am a serious old school music collector. Every DJ should have a copy of this music because groups like the Fantastic Four are unique and special because of their style, grace, and harmony. Their music is a timeless treasure. This '70s album will invoke fond memories of what good music was all about!
Great male vocal group singing
Since we can't much get the Fantastic Four's '60s Motown or Ric Tic output (not wanting to put down my $125 hard-earned money) this is the best we can do. Their albums are wonderful, particularly the socially relevant "Alvin Stone". I didn't approach these with much hope, and was pleasantly surprised. I'd feared '70s claptrap disco; I received solid vocals, melodies, and words. Anyone with an appreciation for "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" ought to add this to your collection!
