Editorial Reviews

Album Description
Import only compilation from one of the top British Urban/dance acts of the early '80s. This trio (Carl McIntosh, Jane Eugene and Steve Nichol) began life as Loose End, but changed their name to Loose Ends right before fame came knocking on their door when they hit paydirt with the 'Hangin' On A String' single in 1985. Their hit streak continued up through the end of the decade with tracks like 'Golden Years', 'Slow Down', 'Watching You' and others. The group did continue in the early '90s, but only after Eugene and Nichol had been replaced and the magic had all but disappeared. 15 tracks. EMI.

Customer Reviews

Nice overview, but Euro release is copy-protected...3
A long overdue retrospective of this influential band is most welcome, and this collection manages to hit many career highlights, but this disc is copy-protected, so any attempts at copying discs and ripping MP3 files will be largely unsuccessful. Forewarned!!!

Dont be a fool4
Back in the day I use to love Loose Ends. This album has everything that a fan could want in a best of album. Its enhanced sound quality alone makes this album a must have for any fan of loose ends.

Good collection4
This is a good collection of hits and fan favorites. Its not 100% comprehensive, but there are a lot of worthwhile tracks here. In all fairness, a comprehensive collection would need to be more like a double or 3-CD.

BTW, to the reviewer from Jersey: I hope you're aware that Loose Ends is not from NJ, they are from the UK. And this is an import CD to begin with. In other words, Loose Ends' history began before you ever heard of them in the US. A track like "Magic Touch" may not be familiar to you, but it SHOULD if you are a true fan. Certainly to the fans in the UK, where Loose Ends is from, that track is an old favorite and I doubt that they could sell a "best of" in the UK without that track!
