a bit underwhelming
I have been picking up disco tracks from Salsoul, WestEnd & P&P for a while now and generally like what I hear. Recently I heard Prelude mentioned in the same breath at Salsoul and decided to check it out. All of the tracks here are certainly solid or at least serviceable and I certainly wouldn't leave a dance floor if one of these was played at a local disco. However, nothing in this compilation jumped out at me the way the best songs from the 3 labels mentioned above have. If the other Prelude volumes are no better than this, I may not pick them up.
