Album Details
On this Greatest Hits Collection 13 of the Songs Are Backed by Kc and the Sunshine Band, with the Delightful Opener Spank Being Typical of the Sunshine Band Disco Sound, Here, We've Included the 1980 Remix of Spank which was a Top Ten Club Hit. It was also Written by Ronnie Smith, Brother of Sunshine Band Guitarist Jerome. Dance Across the Floor was Horne's Second Single and Biggest Hit, Encouraging all Party-goers to Shake their Booty and Solidifying his Reputation as a Disco King Within the Dance Community. "Music to Make Love By" is a Clarence (Blowfly) Reid and Willie Clark Song, at the Time They were Tk's In-house Producers and Two Names Sunshine Band Fans Will Know. Horne's First 12" Single was "Get Happy" with "Gimme Some" on the B-side, which have also Both Been Included Here. Horne also Recorded his Own Ballad Version of "(They Long to Be ) Close to You", Putting his Own Disco Soul Stamp on the Classic Carpenters Song, it is Included Here Amongst the Disco Gems.

Customer Reviews

Not his best!4
The producers of this CD did Jimmy a disservice. They could have served him better if they had included the longer or 12 inch versions of some of these songs. For example,"Is It In" and "Dance Across The Floor". They could have made the product a 2CD package.

excelent oldies4
This CD is an excelent compilation
I understand now where KC&Sunshine band songs come from.
Good foreword on the CD cover.
Worth to buy!

Good Collection4
Believe it or not, I was looking for the 45 version of "Gimme Some," which is included in this solid collection. Great service by the seller.
