Lean Sushi Portions3
There are some great deep house tracks on Stereo Sushi 10's two discs but many of them have obviously been trimmed down to under six minutes. This frustrating trend grows with each new Hed Kandi release and it's really starting to anger me. When dance music guru, Mark Doyle was on board, I used to destroy djs with cuts from Kandi compilations. I still rock my cds from the Doyle era and I love his new label, Fierce Angel. The current Kandi team is too busy cramming 12 and 13 cuts on each disc while editing out some of the best parts of killer songs. What we end up with is a bunch of radio versions that are useless to club djs and true househeads. For example, Bobby and Steve's In My Heart is only 5:50 here but it's 7:45 on their Connected compilation. Dennis Ferrer's Church Lady, Mr. V's Jus Dance, and I Don't Know Why (I Love You) by The Brand New Heavies (Kenny Dope Vocal Mix) also get butchered. I could go on and on but you get the point. Hed Kandi has been falling off since Mark Doyle left and they need to get it together. Instead of murdering good 12 inch jams in order to include more on one compilation, they could simultaneously release solid Sushi, Disco Heaven, and Disco Kandi collections. 10 or 11 full length songs on each disc is more than enough to satisfy house music fanatics worldwide. If I'm going to keep paying 30 bucks per compilation, I expect more than extended sound clips.

I want Kandi4
Yes, As a DJ, I agree. The old Hed Kandi tracks were better, longer, and in some cases easier to play. The original Hed Kandi Compilations were designed with the DJ in mind. Today's compilations are different, not as good.
