Editorial Reviews

Album Description
Discovered gives listeners the full versions of songs sampled for many of Daft Punk's biggest hits, and gives DJs access to a great set of tracks for their sets. It also acts as a stand alone compilation of disco jazz and funk from the collections of two of the most influential producers in dance music. The compilation Includes the sources for "Around the World," "Robot Rock," "Harder Better Faster Stronger," and many more.

Pitchfork Media
"You've never truly heard "Digital Love" until you've heard just how much "Digital Love" sounds like a cooled-up version of George Duke's "I Love You More."

The Stranger
"Listening to Discovered also makes you realize that Daft Punk are an even better production team than you might have realized."

Customer Reviews

good title, since that is what it did!4
I enjoyed this album because I am a fan of Daft Punk. Knew they sampled a lot, but wasn't exactly sure where it came from. This CD is a collection of material used by Daft Punk off their last few albums. Good music in its own right, but for a fan, it's cool to see how they take something and make it into some new, (almost) all their own. Have since looked up these acts and have found the music tough to find. Glad somebody released this collection and hope that we'll see more of this series released in the future.

pretty good purchase4
It was nice to hear the original tracks that inspired the samples for Daft Punk's songs. I'm into sampling and love to get the original stuff for my favorite hiphop tracks so this was a good purchase for me.

If you love the 80's and daft punk4
I love the album as a whole, but am partial to 4 or 5 tracks. Keep on rocking robots!
