Love it too, please do more!
I don't care if these are needle drops or not, this is some fantastic and hard to find stuff. Please do more old school comps like this!

lots of needle drops
Like the "Dance Classics Volume 1" title from the same company, the sound quality of the tracks on this compilation leaves something to be desired. It's obvious that most, if not all, of the tracks here were lifted from vinyl sources -- sometimes very scratchy vinyl. Given that a lot of the tracks on this compilation have already been issued in the same full-length versions on cd, it's surprising that the compilers of this set chose to copy these from scratchy records instead of other cds if they wanted to produce these on the cheap and avoid the expense of working with actual master tapes.

Also of note is that some songs are not actually the 12" versions, even though the cover art indicates otherwise. Perhaps this is due to different mixes being issued in different places (these discs originate in England and I'm mostly familiar with what was issued on 12" singles in the U.S.), but it's definitely an issue of note for U.S. buyers.

I'd give this product a pass unless some of the more rare tracks on here are of interest to you and you don't already own the vinyl.

Love it, love it, love it!
This is a great UK compilation that stands up with the best disco compilations around. Ok, so CD2 has a couple of 'flaky', underground tracks that, personally, I'm not too fond of but CD1 is an absolute triumph. This collection rapidly became my one of my favourites and I have to say I'm really looking forward to Volume 2!
